Recommendation from Sarah Jones

To whom it may concern,

I have been Bonnie Sink's trainer for the last three weeks while she finished her required phlebotomy internship at Pacific Walk In Clinic.  Bonnie is an excellent phlebotomist and very skilled at what she does.
Bonnie can draw blood on any patient regardless of their age.  Bonnie is aware of the difference in vein size and is able to correctly select the needle she should use and then has the ability to follow through with a successful blood draw.  She is able to draw patients with a Vacutainer and can put tubes on and take them off with little or no movement of the needle.  On patients with smaller veins Bonnie is able to accurately draw with a syringe.  She is successful at drawing patients from their hand when it is necessary.  Bonnie can differentiate between the different tubes and knows the purpose of the tube and which tube is needed for the required test.   For tests that are unfamiliar to her she is able to look them up on the computer or contact client services for advice.
From her on the job training Bonnie knows when blood should be put into the centrifuge and why time is an important issue in this process.  She is able to identify which blood sample goes to the correct patient and matches the blood specimen with the requisition.
Bonnie has done some data entering and is very good on the computer.  She knows how to find tests in the test directory and has taken a computer course in school which helps her know how to access different computer programs and how they function.
Bonnie has a great personality and the patients really like her.  She always has a smile on her face and the compassion in her voice reassures the patients they are important and in good hands.
Out of all the students I've trained within the past five years, Bonnie has been the most dedicated and the most proficient leaving this site. I would recommend Bonnie for any phlebotomy job and believe she is capable of fulfilling any job obligations or requirements.

Sincerely yours,

Sarah Jones
